A healthier way to pay

Paytient is a benefit you can use because Aetna CVS Health sponsors it. Your Paytient membership is tied to your Aetna CVS Health plan, so if your health plan coverage ends, so does your access to Paytient. But remember, if you still owe money on your Paytient card, you'll need to pay it back, even if you're no longer enrolled in an Aetna CVS Health plan.

Yes! You can use the Paytient card for an old or new healthcare bill still owed to the provider, as long as it is not being collected by a different party.

Before you can use your Paytient card, you need to add a payment method or contact support to set up a manual payment option. If you choose a non-manual payment option we will not charge you anything right now. This payment method will be used in the future to charge payments.

The Paytient card¹ covers care costs for members as well as their loved ones.

Simply tap the purple card in the Paytient app to view your card information. You can then use this number for qualifying transactions or input the information into your healthcare provider’s payment system.

Your physical card will arrive at the address on file that you’ve provided to Aetna CVS Health within 7-10 business days after you have created your account. In the meantime, your virtual card can be accessed immediately within your account. You also have the ability to add this card to your smartphone's digital wallet for use at medical facilities and pharmacies that accept digital forms of payment (i.e. Apple Pay, Samsung Pay).

Once your physical card arrives, you'll text the last four digits of your card from your phone to 573-269-3836 to activate! You can also activate your Paytient card within the app by swiping to the white card on your home screen. Once you see that card, press and hold, and then enter the last four digits of your card.

No, you can’t use your Paytient card at an ATM to withdraw cash. Attempting to use your card at an ATM may impact your access to Paytient and could result in account closure. Log in to see the categories for which your card has been approved, or reach out to our customer support team for help.
