Abusive User Behavior Policy

Our support team is empowered and fully committed to helping you. We know that dealing with medical issues and the aftermath of medical care and medical care financial issues can be an extremely stressful event in life. We’re committed to helping you through this difficult time.
We have a culture at Paytient that encourages each of us to put ourselves in your shoes in every interaction we have with you. We know how stressful it can feel having to contact us to resolve an issue.
However, abusive behavior makes it difficult for our support agents to continue actively working with you to resolve an issue. Examples of abusive behavior may include disparaging language, personal attacks, threats of violence to yourself or others, and spamming, among others.
We want to help you find a way to pay for care. In order to do so, we need to ensure that our employees feel safe at work. So, when an individual becomes threatening or abusive to our team, Paytient may need to take action to protect our employees. These actions may include:
- Sending you a written warning for a first offense
- Limiting access to Paytient support
- Closing your Paytient account
- Reporting your words or behavior to authorities and/or your Sponsoring Organization, such as your employer, insurance company, or health system provider
